The British Council for the History of Science is looking to appoint an editor for the British Journal for the History of Science Themes (BJHS Themes).
BJHS Themes is a collaborative venture between the British Society for the History of Science and Cambridge University Press. It’s an ambitious and agenda-setting open-access journal, published annually, attracting a high number of downloads and citations. Each issue focuses on a particular theme in the histories of science (broadly defined).

Appointment is usually for a three-year term. The new editor will be responsible for editing Volume 9 onwards, which is due to be published in 2024. The new editor will be required to be in place by the 1st of July 2022. This is the deadline for proposals for this volume from prospective guest editors. The new editor will select the successful proposal for Volume 9 (2024), liaise with the guest editor(s), and oversee the peer review process once article manuscripts are submitted in April 2023. Throughout, the new editor will be supported by the brilliant Editorial Assistant at BJHS Themes.
